Dieter Spielhoff laid the foundation for a successful company history with the establishment of the “Ingenieurbüro Spielhoff” in Kronprinzenstraße, Dortmund.

After successful deep drilling experiences in North Africa and Germany, the company soon took over the “Varel” sales agency, a manufacturer of high-quality roller bits from Texas/USA.

Since 1988, HALCO products, down-the-hole hammer systems from Halifax/England, have complemented the product range

In 1990, the company was renamed “SPIBO Spielhoff-Bohrwerkzeuge GmbH”. The sales lines were gradually expanded.

In 1991, Karl-Heinz Nowack became managing director, ushering in a new era

In 1993, the injection systems from HÄNY in Jona/Switzerland expanded the company's range of products – specifically for special foundation engineering.

Era began, the senior boss Dieter Spielhoff retired in 2001.

In 2008, the company moved to a new facility with large storage facilities and a workshop in Castrop-Rauxel.

At the end of 2016, Mr. Nowack retired.

Since 2017, Mr. Abdelelah Mazid has been Managing Director
